For her birthday...

Rachel's birthday is around the corner, I have been busy

Producing...

Cooking...

Making sushi... (I was trying to figure out how to make this, so when the kids saw these and shouted "Sushi!!", it got me so excited. The the boys start playing with them as sushi bombs and sushi grenades. They were throwing them at each other!)

and baking...

I always wanted to make felt food and I had lots of felt (again, I rediscoverd them when I was cleaning the closet...) so, I started with a simple cookie. It was so fun that I ended up making more and more.

The last bit of summer vacation is left and we have so much going on, so we are not having her birthday party on her actual birthday, but she can start playing with these felt foods soon.

  1. They look great! I tried to make a felt cake but it didn't turn out as good as yours, especially like the vegetables. Hope they are enjoyed.

  12. That is so cute, I'm just amazed by all of your projects! Seaside rose is one of my favorite all time fabrics too. I have a whole tub of it waiting to be made into stuff for my daughter's room. I just discovered your blog a week or so ago and I'm LOVING it!!We have very similar taste. Plus, a friend just told me that you're related to a friend in my ward (Jodi A.) Isn't that funny!
    Take care,
    Elisabeth

  20. Sachiko- PLEASE make felt food patterns. I just bought a TON of wool and when I brought it home I got too overhwhelmed to do anything with it. I can even test patterns if you want? ;o)
