I posted a
Yo-Yo tutorial a few posts ago. I recieved several comments and emails about what I am going to use them for. I am sharing one of the ways to use your yo-yos.
I found this plain basket at a local thrift store the other day for 50 cents.(Yea!)
I spray painted it...
Then, I made lining with a drawstring. Using a glue gun, I glued the yo-yos onto the basket.
Gluing the yo-yos was really fun. Rachel loves her new basket bag. :)
I want to make one for myself, I better start making more yo-yos!
that's adorable :D
ReplyDeleteFantastic :-) and very funny
ReplyDeleteI need to start making yo-yo's while I watch tv at night. They are so cute!

ReplyDeleteI love this! I plan on making a few to hold things in my sewing room! Did you use white spray paint, or an off-white?
ReplyDeleteThat's a real cutie!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe spray paint you used, is it oil based?
I'm jealous of your basket,
ReplyDelete50 cents? Will never find that kind of price here. Fabulous makeover :D

ReplyDeleteI love yo-yos and this cute idea. Did you attach the drawstring lining to the basket, or is it just sitting inside?
ReplyDeleteThank you all for leaving such nice comments!(I love reading comments, if you didn't know...)
ReplyDeleteSome of you had questions about this project, so here are the answers. :)
Sherri-
I used white paint. That's what I had in my garage...

Well, the can doesn't say what it is. It is by Krylon/Fusion for plastic. The can said, " Dries in 15 min or less, no sanding or priming. For use inside and out on most plastics. Also great for wood, metal, ceramic and more".
Sounds too good to be true, right? but, I love this paint. ;)
What a great idea! Love the basket!すてきなリメイクですね。 いつも楽しませてもらっています。ありがとう♪
