New Pattern ~ Winter Daisy

I have been working on this pattern for the last couple weeks. It is easy for me to whip something up, but it is VERY challenging to create a pattern on the computer. Since I am technologically challenged and have no knowledge about how Adobe, GIMP or Publisher works, I am just experimenting with stuff and trying to come up with a look that I want for my pattern.

Phew... it's done! :) I listed them on my shop and they will be sold at a couple local shops too. I am so very excited about this. It has been a long time since I felt like I am on the move (sewing or business aspect of my life wise). One thing I can say is that I. LOVE. to. CREATE. There is no doubt about that.

I am also going to teach a class for this pincushion at Harmany again in October. The class fee include the pattern and I am going to make a kit. They have a list of many wonderful classes, if you are local you might wanna check out their class schedule.

This unique pincushion is a combination of everything pretty. The coziness of wool felt, the beautiful flower print showing through the window, cute buttons and lovely trims around it! This mostly hand sewn pincushion is very fun to make and it will be a perfect holiday gift for yourself or for your friends.

Please go check it out and let me know if you have any questions!

  1. Your pincushion looks lovely. Would love to see what the side looks like...hard to see from the pictures - can make out a little bit of the side, but not much. :)

  3. SewSealy-

The side is basically just the seam with trim. Maybe I should have added a picture of the side on the back of the pattern...

  5. That's really cute! I love how the floral plays with the wool.
On the subject of patterns on the computer... I took this course, and while it is more oriented to making clothing patterns, it was reaaally helpful for me in learning how to use the computer programs. You might like it, it's pricey but a really good course. http://patternworkshop.com/

Right now I have the PDF on my etsy shop, but if you are interested in a paper version, I can add that to the shop as well.

  10. How can it be that you are sold out of PDF patterns downloads?

    1. Hi Cindy, I don't know why either. This is because of the way etsy is set up, they don't allow unlimited items. I am sorry for the inconvenience . I just added more patterns to my shop. :)
